Video games, books and UFC.. How we pass time being stuck at home because of COVID-19
My favorite thing to do besides just being with my children is to read📖. I love science fiction books and can read a book in a day (when the kids arent home 24/7). I have kindle unlimited so that I can read just about anything, and alot of times there are too many books📚 to choose from and I can't decide which to read!! I couldn't tell you how many times I have fallen asleep😴 trying to pick a book. Ugghh!!
My fiance💍, Ryan💖, is lucky enough to still be working. It may only be partial days, but its more than a lot of people have at the moment!! When he is home he LOVES playing video games🎮 on the Xbox1. He has a few favorite games. For a long time he played soccer⚽ games (foot ball if you aren't in America🇺🇸). Recently he has been into the newest borderlands game though and he has even gotten ALL 3 of our children to play with him. Our 7 year old (and she just turned 7 less than a week ago!) LOVES playing and she is actually pretty good ❗ My 12 year old son has even gotten him to play the "in game" (fort nite of course) for a lot of people now. Personally, I cant stand it because I am constantly reminding my son to behave, watch what he says, play nice or don't play with that person, and so on. It drives me crazy!! Lol
But I wanna talk about borderlands for a minute because it has to do with one of my other posts 'Explaining the title of my blog...'

In the blog I talked about what are just normal things in the world today, including gay marriage. I was watching Ryan play his game today and at the end if a DLC there were 2 men who were getting married and even kissed (or "rubbed their faces" together as Fl4k said in the game lmao!!) It wasn't something you would see in most video games, but I thought it was awesome!!
Ryan made a comment that he was surprised that they showed all they did, but I brought up my blog and what I have said and he realized I was right (which I always am, but that's besides the point ;) In society today gay marriage is just another part of life. Some people have yet to understand that, but I hope that one day there will be nobody to question it anymore because its already society's normal.
My youngest daughter has gotten into watching UFC fights with us a lot lately! She even asks us to put on the fighting show sometimes lol. She tough already, her momma has taught her well, and it would be so awesome if she got into doing something like that!! She has always been our little artist though, so I guess only time will tell 😸❗😊. I just hope, as most parents do/should, that whatever she decides to do that she enjoys it and is happy with life.
Now that they are doing school at home online it is alot harder, so with 3 kids all in different grades its hectic here at times. We make the best of it though and we even play learning games. The board game "Word on the Street" is a great game for kids to practice spelling. Plus it's REALLY fun!! Its only for 2 players unless you do teams, so a lot of times Ryan and I play on a team with one kid each and help them out, but they have to spell the words out loud as the move the pieces.
We have quite a few games we play regularly, but that one is my favorite to play as a family because they have a BLAST and don't even realize they're learning/practicing their spelling ;)
Remember guys.. We all do things our own way. This is how we spend our free time... Spend yours the way you enjoy spending it!!
